2008 Scholarships
The Sevier Chapter will be awarding a total of $7,000 in local scholarships from the Anna Reagan Memorial Fund for 2008. There will be a total of 10 scholarships in the amount of $700 each. There will be five traditional scholarships awards: one each to a graduating senior from each of the four Sevier County High Schools (GPHS, PFHS, SCHS and SHS), as well as one to a private school or home-schooled recipient. Applications are available from high school guidance counselors.
We are excited to announce that there will be five non-traditional scholarships presented this year. These will be awarded to qualifying adult residents of Sevier County who are returning to school to continue their education. Applications can be obtained from Karen Chambers, Professional Development Chair. Karen can be contacted at 908-5986.
Funds for the scholarships are obtained from our Annual Basket Auction and Brunch. 2010 marks our 19th Annual Auction! It will be held as follows:

2007 Scholarships
Sevier Chapter of ABWA awarded $7,000 in scholarships for 2007 - up from $4,000 in prior years. One thousand dollars each to four graduating high school seniors - one from each Sevier county high school (Sevier County High School, Pigeon Forge High School, Seymour High School and Gatlinburg-Pittman High School). Also, $1,000 to a graduating senior from a private or home school, plus $1,000 each to two non-traditional students returning to school to further his or her education.

As of 2005, the $2000 scholarship will be called the Anna B. Reagan Memorial Scholarship fund, in honor of Ann Reagan who passed away in September 2004. Ann was the last active Sevier Chapter charter member at the time of her passing. She will surely be missed be all!
